About

Behind the Author

Renée Wehrle is an indie author who writes middle grade and young adult (YA) fiction about chronic illness, fanciful action and mystical adventures. Her books have received raving reviews with Reader's Favorite, Goodreads and Amazon readers. Melinda Hills's review for Reader's Favorite says of Renée's previous book, "I Awaken could be about anyone who realizes that there is more to the universe than just our individual selves with personal desires and selfish lifestyles... a reading for anyone interested in seeing what a positive approach to life can do."

Fascinated by ancient cultures and all things natural and supernatural or science related, she has enjoyed writing impassioned stories since she was young. Eclectic in what subjects she chooses to write about, Renée tells whatever story manages to bubble out of her. She doesn’t believe in staying in one lane as an author.

A passionate lover of nature and animals, she draws her inspiration from the lush green landscapes of Vermont. Living with her loving husband and their irresistibly fluffy ragdoll cat, Sulley, Renée is surrounded by the kind of serene beauty that fuels her creativity. Her work is influenced by both motivational nonfiction and fiction, reflecting her belief in literature as a powerful tool for escapism and connection. Renée sees stories as bridges to meet and understand people we might never encounter in our daily lives. She advocates for fearlessness and compassion, emphasizing the importance of exposing oneself to broader perspectives and realities. Her goal is to inspire readers to connect with what is real and meaningful in the world.
